We created original aromas for the premiere of the movie "The Forest of Wool and Steel"
CODE Meee was in charge of creating the fragrance "Otoiro no Mori Aroma" for the preview screening of the film "The Forest of Wool and Steel."
For the premiere of the movie "The Forest of Wool and Steel," held on Sunday, May 20, at Iino Hall in Tokyo, CODE Meee was in charge of creating original aromas themed around the "scent of the forest" that appears in the original work. The attendees were able to experience the aromas at the beautiful screening, where they could sense the clean scenery, sounds, and smells depicted in the movie.
The aroma created for this event features a refreshing forest fragrance with Akanezaru, a representative tree of Hokkaido.
Akanezaru is a species of spruce, which is used for piano soundboards, and the Ainu people called it the "Goddess Tree" because of its beautiful shape.
The "scent of the forest" in the movie may be the scent of Akanezaru.
We were involved in creating original aromas with the attempt to allow people to experience the world of the movie with their sense of smell, feeling the air of the vast nature of Hokkaido.
The premiere was a wonderful event with greetings from the director and cast, as well as a piano performance by Nobuyuki Tsujii, creating a very special atmosphere. Many attendees enjoyed the aromas, and it was a screening that sharpened everyone's senses.
